Project Overview
This project would result in the development of a new CTE Building, heavy modernization of existing Vocational Arts Building 400, construction of a new ATP Classroom Building, the removal and replacement of existing relocatable buildings 129, 130, 131, and 132. Additional activities include demolition of the existing Wood Shop, Auto Shop and Metal Shop, demolition and removal of existing nine relocatable buildings and associated utilities and sitework including, but not limited to new concrete, AC paving, fencing, gates and landscape. The first phase of the CTE Project would begin in June 2023 and would involve modernization and structural rehabilitation of the existing 10,153 sq feet Vocational Arts Building 400 located in the southwestern portion of the campus. The renovated Vocational Arts Building 400 would continue to provide educational space for video production lab and studio, JROTC marksmanship program and classrooms, computer lab, and support spaces.
The second phase of the CTE Project would remove four existing JROTC relocatable buildings 129-132 located in the southwestern portion of the campus and replace with four new relocatable classrooms, two 30 foot x 32 foot and two 24 foot x 40 foot buildings, totaling 3,840 square feet of new building space. As part of this same phase, the District would remove four existing relocatable buildings 136/137, 141, 143, and 144 and replace with two new 48 foot x 40 foot relocatable buildings totaling 3,840 square feet of new building space.
Phase three of the CTE Project would include the demolition of the existing CTE Auto Shop and Canopy, Wood Shop and Metal Shop, the relocatable ATP Classroom Building, relocatable restroom building and relocatable classroom buildings 408-414 for a total of 24,765 square feet of demolition. This phase would also involve construction of a new 13,201 square feet CTE Building. The CTE Building would include a new Auto Shop, Metal Shop, Wood Shop, vocational rooms, classrooms, offices, collaboration rooms, and support spaces. Phase three would also include the construction of a new 2,917square foot ATP Classroom Building and support spaces.
